Five months after lockdown began, Springhead has re-opened with a fanfare. On Friday 21 August the Monteverdi Choir performed for the first time in the spectacular surroundings of Springhead’s ornamental lakeside gardens.
In front of an invitation-only audience the internationally acclaimed choir performed a range of music. After weeks of meticulous preparation it was the first Covid Secure outdoor event for both the charity and the choir, explains the Trust’s Director Edward Parker. ‘Mercifully the weather remained mostly dry during the evening performance and the breezy conditions just added to the sense of drama during the performance.’
