We were delighted to hold our first school visit of the year last week, when children from Fontmell Magna’s primary school enjoyed outdoor activities in the lakeside gardens.
Learning about the natural springs which bubble up at the top of Springhead’s lake, and tasting the fresh spring water were among the actvities enjoyed by children from St Andrews primary school. They also practised their photographic skills on ipads, using pumpkins from Springhead’s kitchen gardens as props for their Autumn and Halloween themed pictures.
It’s very much hoped that the pupils will be able to return regularly to Springhead, which normally welcomes up to around 800 children each year, mostly for residential trips.
